Busy Saturday

It was a really fun, sunny, busy Saturday.  I am exhausted. First we all packed up and spent most of the day at the ball field.  The boys had a double header since so many games have been rained out.  They played great.  Peyton made an awesome touchdown and Dalton got an MVP medal.  I did not get pictures of the touchdown, I was too busy screaming and cheering.

Then we went to Red Robin for lunch.  Yummy.  After that we went to a birthday party for Reese....she is One Year Old today!!  I love this cake.  I will remember this for Sylvie's first birthday.

This entire week is going to be crazy busy.  Tomorrow we have two more games. This is the last week of school so there is going to be a lot of year end events.  Monday is the first grade awards ceremony and picnic.  Third grade is doing a year end party but I need to see which day that is.  

Catching Up

Ok so I have been trying to blog the last couple of days and every time I get in front of my laptop, Sylvie objects.  Hmmm.   We made a quick trip to Virginia for my brother's wedding.  It was wonderful!  Michael and Julie are a wonderful couple.  So we are back and next week is the last week of school for the boys.  They are so excited.  I am just wondering how my days are going to be.  Getting them up and to school early makes me start my days early so I can get things done while Sylvie sleeps.  If I do not get up and have a productive morning I am going to get so behind....and I get really anxious when I get behind on things that I need to do.  But we have a lot of fun things planned for June!

Horns and Colds

This picture of Dalton makes me laugh out loud.  He was in the bath last night and we started to play with his hair.  We have done the mohawk thing a million times so we need a new twist to it. I am not sure if we were making horns or spikes.  The one that was cracking me up the most was the spike he was trying to make out of his bangs.  He kept going crossed eyed trying to work on it. Then he really looked crazy.  Too funny!

My sweet baby girl has a cold.  I knew it was going to happen sooner than later.  With two big brothers in school, germs are rampant. Dalton missed school Thursday and Friday with Strep Throat.  Sylvie is a trooper though.  She is sleeping more and eating a little less with the cold. Hmm...not bad for a baby not feeling 100%.  Last night she started in her bassinet but laying flat was not comfortable for her so I moved her to her car seat and she slept great.  I hope she feel better soon.  

It is supposed to be gorgeous weather this week.  Nice change from the rainy spring we have had.  I plan to enjoy it.  

Michelle + Chris = Forever

Remember doodling silly little things like this all over your notebooks in school.  Good times!  I have been married to this very patient, understanding, wooonderful man for 12 years today.  I love him and the wonderful life we have built together.  

I had to go back to our vacation pictures from October to find a picture with him in it.  I really do need to have more pictures with he and I in them.  ALL the pictures are of the kids. 

has it been over a week

First a picture of sweet Sylvie from yesterday. Is she not perfect....well her Mommy thinks so.  

Today I got my first real smile.  The kind that was a response to her Mommy, not just in her sleep.  It made my heart melt!   I love this sweet baby girl so much.  Hopefully I can catch it on film soon so I can share it. 

   

We had a good day out and about.  Sylvie and I went to Old Navy, Target and Starbucks.  Just a few of my favorite places.  I have not taken her to Hobby Lobby yet.  That is definitely one of my happy places.  The sales are not great this week so we will wait and see next week.

  

The boys are excited about the end of the school year.  They are on the count down to summer break!  Fun things are planned. 

 

I did buy the Odyssey that I test drove last week.  LOVE IT.  I love all of the extra room and features that it has.  I also have a new term.....DVD Coma.  The boys are usually so wild and silly in the car.  Like to the point I want to jump out the window.  They were always having a blast but as the driver on the EARLY morning drives to school, I was not having nearly as much fun.  Now they have space between them and entertainment.  The natives are silent.  Ahhhh peace.  

 Ok I must get some sleep now.  

look who's 1 month old today

Has it already been a month?  How could that be?

At a month old we have a pretty good routine.  You love to sleep the mornings away.  This is my time to get stuff done: chores, shower and even errands. You have slept through a lot of errands.  Then we go get the boys from school.  After that, it is your awake, eat a lot, time.  Anything that needed to get done at this point will probably have to wait until the next morning.  Luckily, Daddy gets home to help in the evenings!  After the boys are tucked in bed, we have our time together in the comfy recliner.  You are an absolute delight! 

I am going to test drive a minivan this evening. A Honda Odyssey, and I hope it looks as good in person as it did in the carmax pictures.  If so, I will officially become a Minivan Mom.  I could not be happier.  With Sylvie, we out grew the Maxima.  I feel like sardines everytime we load up in the sedan.

sleepy saturday morning

All my little loveis!  It is hard to wake up on a rainy Saturday morning.  I had just feed Sylvie and set her down on the sofa. I have to be VERY careful where I set her down because the boys want to be close to her all the time.  It is very sweet but it stresses me too.  I let them all snuggle, I just monitor closely.
