We had an absolutely gorgeous weekend! Warm and sunny. Unfortunately Chris has a horrible cold and was not able to do much :o( He is feeling a little better today. The rest of us got outside to get some fresh air in our lungs. Tonight as I was cooking dinner I just opened the back door and all three kids loved playing. Music to my ears.
Sylvie cracks me up everyday. I told her we were going to go outside and she got excited. I opened the closet door to get her shoes. I was trying to put them on her and it was making her mad. So I just told her when she puts them on we will go outside. She put them on and I was not about to try to fix them. Please notice her shoes:
It was warm, sunny and breezy. Her hair was crazy. I good time was had by all!
Sylvie loves her tutu lately. I could not be happier. She brings it to me wanting me to help her put it on and she will wear it all day.
I was reading on another blog about some cute ideas for making some more tutus. I am excited to get that project going. I need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby.
She was having a lot of fun in the sink while I was making dinner. I just let her have fun and she was drenched.
This little girl is about ready to wear her momma out! I am ready to put a helmet on her and let her go. She can drag a chair in the kitchen and be in the top cabinets in a matter of seconds!
The boys got out of school two hours early today.
The roads are really bad this time around. We did not get much but it is cold and frozen. So before it got bad Sylvie and I had to make a run for a few things. She loves the car carts and getting a cookie from the bakery.
We are all clear for a full week of school weather wise BUT Peyton is sick :o( He has been to the doctor yesterday and today. He has strep. We started with Amoxicillin and he just got sicker. Today we went back because his right tonsil was huge and his fever was 103.4 WITH Motrin. We changed to Augmentin and there seems to be improvement just 4 hours into that. I am hoping he has turned the corner with this because if we have to go back it will be for a shot in the butt :o( I bought him some ice cream to eat with his throat being so sore. I think he really appreciated that.
Chris just thinks of the simplest little things that just thrills Sylvie. He put his head phones on her and she was having so much fun with it.
Have a great rest of the week.
This weekend was so enjoyable! It was sunny and warm for most of it. We spent some time running around the back yard.
Peyton went to a sleepover birthday party last night and they stayed up all night! This was him withing 15 minutes of being home.
Little Sylvie fact I do not want to forget. She will not nap with socks on. The only way I keep her socks on at night so she will not freeze is only using footie pjs. She dropped them so neatly together in the floor, I just thought it was funny.
Sylvie had another play date with her bestie, Evie. Sylvie was putting a neckless on her.
Dalton having an after school snack Friday. He and I just LOVE our chips and salsa!
Now lets see if they will actually go to school all week. As of now it looks like the weather is all clear for a solid week.
I opened the back door to take this picture:
and she ran out right under me:
She was so mad when I made her come back in. So I told her we would bundle up and go out and play. I got her dressed and laid out her hat, coat and gloves. When I was putting on my shoes, she was bringing me her hat and gloves wanting me to help her get them on. She could not wait! It was cold and mushy! But she loved every minute of it. I did not take my camera outside, I just wanted to enjoy her.
The boys had dental appointments today. No Cavities!
Jasper says hello or maybe buzz off, I am not sure :o)
Dressing my sweet little girl is just fun! Hot pink socks, leg warmers and a mini skirt. Cuteness!
Peyton is the sweetest big brother in the world. It thrills me they have each other. She was snuggled in my bed watching Jack's Big Music Show and he laid down beside her and watched it with her.
And yet AGAIN they are calling for more snow tonight. I can't remember the last time these kids had a full week of school.
We started out shopping with my friend Karen and her daughter Evie. Sylvie and Evie are becoming pretty good buddies. I love it! First stop was Old Navy. Their clearance items are an additional 40% off. Score! I got a top and flip flops and my total was $2.25. We went to a couple more stores and finished with lunch.
Now we are all home, except Chris, and it is snowing. It is beautiful! I need to go take a picture of it, maybe.
This is a picture of Sylvie from yesterday when we were ready to go out. I was packing up her diaper bag and she came in the kitchen with her purse all ready to go herself. It was so cute.
I met dear friends for lunch today. Sylvie did really good even though it was so her nap time. The reason we met up was Hollye had some of her daughter's toddler toys that needed a new home. So many wonderful toys. It was like Christmas for her all over again!
This is a picture of Sylvie from a couple of nights ago when her friend Evie was over to play while her parents went out. They played SO GOOD together. It was so fun to watch! The only problem, it was way past Sylvie's bedtime. The look on her face is T I R E D. Kathy, was this what you had in mind when you bought Sylvie this cute little purse?
They are calling for snow AGAIN tomorrow. The school is planning on being closed on Friday. Peyton is having his Friday schedule tomorrow and Dalton had a test moved up from Friday to tomorrow as well. The county only has 2 more snow days and after that the kids will have to make them up. That is when snow days become a little less fun!
